Head. Two persons died and another was injured when a bus collided with a motorcycle at Golbazaar municipality-3, Jamantoki in Siraha district on Sunday night. The deceased have been identified as Santosh Mahato, 37, and Aman Raya, 20, of Dhangadhimai municipality-8.

They were seriously injured when a motorcycle (Sa 5 Pa 4759) heading towards east from Golbazaar and a bus (Lu 2 Kha 1085) en route to Bhairahawa from Dharan collided with them, said Police Inspector Sudhan KC of Area Police Office, Golbazaar.

Dhiraj Mandal, 17, was seriously injured in the accident. According to the police, the deceased and the injured were riding the same motorcycle. Mandal is undergoing treatment in Biratnagar while the bodies of the deceased have been kept at Lahan-based Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Provincial Hospital for postmortem.

Police have arrested the bus driver and impounded the accident for further investigation.
