Dhankuta. The Labour and Culture Party’s candidates are leading in Dhankuta despite the decrease in votes. The Labour and Culture Party is leading with 167 votes.

Out of 11,880 votes counted so far, Shan Bahadur Rai of Labour Culture Party has secured 3,972 votes and CPN-UML’s Rajendra Kumar Rai has received 3,705 votes.

Dinesh Rai of Nepali Congress came third with 2,238 votes, Dinesh Bhandari of Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) got 556 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) got 116 votes and Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal got 111 votes.

So far, 835 votes have been invalid. A total of 17 members including 14 political parties and three independents are taking part in the election.
