Bhaktapur. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) has taken lead in Bhaktapur district with a wide margin of votes.

As per the vote count till 1:00 pm, Rukesh Ranjit of Rastriya Janajatantra Party (RSP) was leading in constituency no 1 with 8,308 votes.

Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) got 5,177 votes, Kiran Neupane of Nepali Congress got 1,307 votes and Som Prasad Mishra of CPN-UML got 694 votes.

Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP)’s Rajiv Khatri is leading in Constituency 2 with 7,002 votes while Mahesh Basnet of CPN-UML has received 2,538 votes. NC’s Kabir Rana got 1,158 votes.

A total of 76,761 out of 107,054 voters were cast in Constituency No. 1 and 72,761 out of 98,356 voters in Constituency No. 2. Bhaktapur-1 is considered to be a stronghold of the NCP.
