Gorkha. GORKHA: All the ballot boxes of Chumnubri rural municipality in northern Gorkha district of Gorkha constituency number 1 have been brought to the district headquarters today.
Assistant Chief District Officer of Gorkha, Netra Prasad Sharma, said that ballot boxes from remaining 14 polling centers were also taken to the district headquarters by Nepal Army helicopter this morning.
The ballot boxes of Chumnubri Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 Lho, Ward No. 3 Sirdibas, Ward No. 4 Prok and Ward No. 5 Bihi were brought this morning. Due to the geographical remoteness, the ballot boxes of 23 polling stations in Chumnubri had to be brought by helicopter.
“Preparations were made to bring the ballot boxes yesterday but it could not be completed due to bad weather”, he said. ”
Earlier on Friday, an army helicopter had brought ballot boxes from nine polling centers. He said that the counting of votes in Gorkha constituency-1 has been completed today itself.
