Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Ananda Bahadur Chand has been elected from Kailali-5. Chand defeated Nepali Congress Far-Western General Secretary Nar Narayan Shah by 20,000 votes.
Chand garnered 31,953 votes while his nearest rival Shah garnered 11,958 votes. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) candidate Prem Bahadur Ale came third in Kailali-5 with 7,876 votes.
