Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Bharat Bahadur Swar has been elected from Achham-1 defeating Bhim Rawal of the Communist Party of Nepal. Rawal lost to Swar by 526 votes.
According to the Election Commission, Swar received 10,759 votes. His nearest rival Rawal got 10,233 votes. CPN-UML candidate Dipak Bahadur Saud came third in Achham-1 with 7,389 votes.
