Bhaktapur. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Rajiv Khatri has been elected to the House of Representatives from Bhaktapur-2. He garnered 42,334 votes.
According to Bhim BC, information officer at the District Election Office, Bhaktapur, his nearest rival Mahesh Basnet of CPN-UML secured 10,996 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Kabir Rana got 8,401 votes.
Of the total 98,356 voters in the constituency, 72,761 votes were cast.
Badan Kumar Bhandari of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) has been elected from Kavrepalanchowk-2.
