Persona. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Sushil Kumar Kanu has been elected as the member of the House of Representatives from Parsa constituency-2.

Madhusudan Acharya, election officer of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP), declared Kanu as the winner with 30,740 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya got 11,890 votes. CPN-UML’s Rima Kumari Yadav garnered 11,605 votes.

Ashok Kumar Agrawal of Janata Samajbadi Party got 2,642 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Bina Jaiswal got 1,999 votes.

A total of 31 candidates were in the fray. There are 14 independent candidates and 17 political candidates.

Out of the total 95,120 voters in Parsa constituency-2, 65,878 votes were cast. Of them, 4,568 votes were invalid while 61,310 valid votes were cast.
