Lalitpur. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Jagadish Kharel has been elected to the House of Representatives from Lalitpur constituency-2 with a huge margin.

According to Lalitpur-2 election officer Samjhana Simkhada Pudasaini, Kharel received 39,941 votes.

His nearest rival was NC’s Prem Krishna Maharjan who got 7,420 votes. Similarly, Ujyalo Nepal Party’s Rajaram Tandukar got 5,547 votes and CPN-UML’s Prem Bahadur Maharjan got 4,536 votes.

A total of 61,975 voters including 31,035 women and 30,940 men cast their votes in Lalitpur-2. A total of 23 candidates, including independents and political parties, were in the fray in the constituency.
