Solukhumbu Nepali Congress candidate Prakash Singh Karki has been elected to the House of Representatives from Solukhumbu district.

Karki garnered 13,166 votes as per the final result of the vote count. His nearest rival Asim Rai of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) got 9,414 votes.

CPN-UML’s Kalpana Rai garnered 8,228 votes, Rastriya Independent Rastriya Samajwadi Party’s Rishidhan Rai garnered 3,642 votes and Labour Culture Party’s BS Rai garnered 3,363 votes.

Out of a total of 85,515 voters, 41,401 votes were cast in the election held on March 4.
