Cover. Indira Rana Magar of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Jhapa-2. She garnered 60,110 votes, according to the returning officer’s office.

His nearest rival Devraj Ghimire of CPN-UML got 11,368 votes. Keshav Kumar Bhandari of Labour and Culture Party got 7,291 votes, Sarita Prasain of Nepali Congress got 5,616 votes and Bhadra Prasad Nepal of Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 3,966 votes.

Of the total 147,522 voters in the constituency, 96,436 votes were cast. A total of 18 candidates including 15 political parties and three independent candidates were in the fray in the constituency.
