Sarlahi. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Amresh Kumar Singh has been elected to the House of Representatives from Sarlahi-4.

He garnered 35,688 votes while his nearest rival Gagan Kumar Thapa got 22,838 votes. RSP’s Singh had taken the lead in this constituency since the beginning of the vote counting.

According to Election Officer Binod Prasad Ghimire, CPN-UML candidate Amnish Kumar Yadav received 9,343 votes, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) candidate Rajnish Raya Yadav received 1,401 votes and Janamat candidate Rakesh Mishra got 1,572 votes.

A total of 77,931 votes were cast in this constituency out of 121,012 voters.
