Kathmandu. Deputy Governors Neelam Dhungana Timsina and Bam Bahadur Mishra have retired from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

Both retired on Sunday. With their retirement, the post of deputy governor in the central bank has become vacant. It is a matter of concern for everyone whether this government will appoint 2 deputies who are vacant or the next government.

According to a source at the Prime Minister’s Office, the government is waiting for the approval of senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balendra Shah Balen to appoint the deputy to the post. The next government will be formed under the leadership of RSP. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has proposed Balen Shah as the next prime minister. That is why the present government is waiting for Balen’s directive to appoint the deputy governor.

“There is a vacancy for the deputy governor at the central bank. The purpose for which this government was formed has been completed. “The issue of appointment is not in the government’s priority,” a Baluwatar source said. He is also the chief adviser to the government. You will know what to do when the new government comes and appoints it. If he (Balen’s) group says that the person appointed by this government can be trusted with confidence, then the right person will be appointed. Otherwise, the government does not appoint. ’

According to sources, if the Balen group wants, this government appoints a deputy governor. If not, the next government will appoint. The new government is likely to be formed by the second week of March. The Election Commission is expected to complete the counting of all the votes under the proportional representation system by the morning of November 27. The EC will determine the number of lawmakers to be elected from the respective parties on the basis of the votes received by the parties that have crossed the threshold after the completion of the PR vote count.

The EC will write to the political parties to recommend the names of lawmakers to be elected as per the proportional representation cluster. After the parties recommend their names from the closed list, the names of the elected MPs under the proportional representation category will be confirmed and certificates will be provided. PSC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that the PSC is working with the target of completing all these works by March 5. After that, the process of forming a new government will begin.

The government will appoint two deputy governors from the 18 executive directors of the central bank. For this, Governor Dr. Bishwanath Poudel will recommend the names of 4 candidates to the government. Dr. The Cabinet will appoint two deputy governors for the next five years by taking the names of four members presented by Poudel to the Finance Ministry.
