Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show-cause order in response to a writ petition filed by Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP) candidate from Dhanusha constituency-1, Kishori Sah Kamal.

The Election Commission had rejected the candidacy after he was found blacklisted by the Credit Information Center 8 times.

Today, the Supreme Court has issued a show-cause order in the name of the Election Commission. A single bench of Justice Nripa Dhwaj Niraula issued the show-cause order.

The Supreme Court has ordered Saha to submit a written reply within 7 days on the petition filed by Sah naming the Election Commission as a defendant. The order reads, “Inform the opposition as soon as possible and submit it as per the rules to bring the file with the decision of the opposition commission regarding the cancellation of the candidacy of the petitioner dated 2082-11-18.” ’
