Kathmandu. CPN-UML vice-chair and former Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has appealed to the UML to restructure its policy, leadership, organisation and working style as per the people’s expectation.
Issuing a press release today, Poudel, who was defeated as a candidate from CPN-UML in Rupandehi Constituency-2, urged the party to seriously review the mistakes and shortcomings it made in the past and transform itself as per the people’s expectation.
“The beauty of democracy is the people’s mandate and I will accept the verdict of the voters of Rupandehi-2 with humility and happiness,” he said.
On the occasion, he congratulated the candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party for their victory in the elections and wished them a successful term.
“I express my heartfelt respect to all the voters who voted for me in this election with faith and cast their vote on the bell, tree, star or any other election symbol on the basis of their faith,” he said.
