Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Government of Japan has decided to provide Rs 12 million to the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Secretariat.
Japan is providing the amount to implement programmes under the SAARC-Japan Special Fund between the Secretariat and the Government of Japan.
According to the SAARC Secretariat, a memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed on Monday. The agreement was signed by SAARC Secretary General Golam Sarwar and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Maeda Toru.
The event is expected to help strengthen friendship, cooperation and mutual relations between Japan and SAARC countries.
