Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited has established and inaugurated a Non-Resident and Overseas Banking Department with an aim to provide dedicated and complete banking services to the Nepalese residing abroad. Chairman of the Bank and Chairman of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, inaugurated the branch amid a program organized at the bank.
The bank will be able to integrate its international presence, technology and network to serve the customers across the globe through a one-door system with special preferences.
The new branch of the bank will be providing various banking services like bank account opening, lending, transaction banking services, capital market and portfolio management among the Nepalese residing abroad. The bank will provide various services to its customers through its customer care number, email number, Office of Foreign Representative and the Department in Naxal, Kathmandu.
The bank will operate its banking services by establishing help desk in the service of Nepalis residing in different countries. The bank will provide 24-hour service to its customers through this service in the future. Global IME Bank Ltd. has been providing banking services to the Nepalese diaspora across the globe since its inception in 2007.
Over the last two decades, the bank has been providing its remittance services through expansion of remittance network, deepening partnership with international banks, opening representative offices in UK, Australia and India, immigrants-centric banking services, and providing banking services through the bank’s staff in more than 10 countries. The bank believes that customers residing abroad should get hassle-free banking services in Nepal, irrespective of geographical distance or physical presence.
Inaugurating the bank’s office at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of Global IME Bank and Chairman of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal said that every Nepali citizen residing abroad for employment and other employment is an important partner in Nepal’s development and progress.

This department will help them to dream and invest and connect with their families in the country through various services. It is our important endeavor to provide full-fledged banking services in an easy, speedy and transparent manner to all Nepalis, wherever they are. ” he said.
Global IME Bank’s CEO Surendra Raj Regmi said that the services provided by the bank will further help Nepalese living abroad to connect with Nepal. “Through this Non-Resident and Overseas Banking Department, Global IME Bank will be able to provide remittance services to Nepalese living abroad while they are in Nepal and fulfill their needs and aspirations,” he added.
“With this new initiative, Global IME Bank has entered into a new phase of expanding full and long-term banking relations with the citizens of Nepalis residing abroad,” he added. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the bank’s board members, CEO, DCEO and senior management managers.

The office of this department will be located at Global IME Bank’s central office at Naxal, Kathmandu.
