Bagmati. MAKWANPUR: An Assistant Sub Inspector of Police and one of the assailants were injured in an attack by drug users at Makari of Manahari rural municipality-1 in Makwanpur district on Sunday night.

Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Dil Bahadur Tamang was injured when drug peddlers attacked him with an axe last night, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Pushkar Bogati.

Sanish, 19, of Hetauda Sub-metropolis-12 was injured when police fired a bullet in self-defence. Both the injured are undergoing treatment at the CMC Churehill Hospital in Hetauda.

The arrested have been identified as Sanjay Jimba, 24, and Ajay Thing, 35, of Hetauda Sub-metropolis-12.
