Kathmandu. Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Nepal (IBN) Sushil Gyewali has underscored the need for extensive reforms in legal and structural areas to deliver results as per the people’s expectation.
Speaking at a program organized to discuss the draft working procedure on expert service, CEO Gyewali said there was a huge gap between expectation and outcome and stressed on the need for change in thinking and working style for effective results.
According to the Work Procedure, specialist services can be taken to conduct a study on prioritization of the projects to be constructed under public-private partnership, to study and analyze the projects to be constructed by the private sector as per the need, to study the letter of intent and proposals of the projects selected by the Investment Board and to prepare the documents.
Similarly, expert services can also be obtained to prepare an evaluation report by studying and analyzing the letter of intent and proposals submitted in respect of any project that has been asked for or invited by the Investment Board, and to prepare a report by studying the technical, financial capacity and basis of completion of the project in order to ensure competition in the development of the project.
According to the draft working procedure, expert services can be obtained in the areas of study and analysis of the proposals received directly from the Investment Board, evaluation report preparation, preparation of report with suggestions by monitoring and monitoring whether the project is being constructed or implemented as per the provision in the agreement, study and analysis of the problems seen in the implementation of the project and identify the ways of solution and implement it.
Since the projects to be operated by the Investment Board are mega and based on new technology and innovation, special types of national and international experts are required.
