Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has urged the general public not to hoard unnecessarily as the import of LP Gas (LPG) has been continuing. NOC Spokesperson Manoj Thakur clarified that the import of LPGs was going on as per the previous order.

“Nepal’s monthly consumption is 45,000-46,000 metric tons. Imports are being done in the same quantity every month. “We have imported 45,500 metric tonnes of gas till March 7,” Thakur said. ”

Clarifying that the NOC has been directing to ease the sale and distribution of LPGs, he urged the public to inform the government if any irregularities were found in any cases. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has directed the industry to sell half a cylinder of cooking gas (LPG) in view of the high demand for cooking gas from consumers due to the recent development in the Middle East. The LPG industry has supplied 7.1 kg gas cylinders to the market from today.
