Kathmandu. As a part of its corporate social responsibility, NIC ASIA Bank has handed over over 150 educational materials to students of Shanti Sewa Groom at Tilganga, Kathmandu.
The bank said in a statement that the bank handed over the educational materials with an aim to enhance the quality of education of students. Chief Executive Officer of the bank Mr. Sujit Kumar Shakya and Deputy CEO Mr. Santosh Kumar Rathi handed over the bags and other educational materials to Ms. Apsara Karki, Managing Director of the bank amid a function held on 28.10.2018.
The bank has provided scholarships to poor, meritorious and underprivileged students from Grade 6 to Grade 10 from various government and community schools in all seven provinces this year.
In addition to this, the bank has been providing scholarships to meritorious students of government and community schools and has established library buildings in various government and community schools in all seven provinces.
The bank believes that the support provided to the students at Shanti Sewa Griha, Kathmandu will enhance their quality of education and also help them to continue their studies.
