Kathmandu. The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) in coordination with the government has repatriated Nepalis stranded in different countries of West Asia through rescue flights.

According to NAC Spokesperson Devendra Pun, 272 Nepalis stranded at Dubai Airport have been brought back to Nepal by a special rescue flight on Thursday.

A special rescue flight airlifted 260 stranded passengers from Kathmandu airport to Dubai Airport.

Spokesperson Pun said that the plane will leave for Dubai today carrying 267 Nepalis and from there 164 Nepalis will be brought back home.

The rescue flights were started after the flight was banned in the sky of West Asia from March 30. Flights to the West Asian country have been suspended after the United States and Israel jointly attacked Iran.
