After holding discussions with stakeholders on Friday to resolve the problems seen in the supply and distribution of gas in the market, the administration has decided to increase special vigilance to control the gas distribution and to control possible irregularities.

According to a notice issued by Assistant Chief District Officer Chiranjibi Sharma, LPG cylinders will be provided to senior citizens above 75 years of age, people with complete disability and people with complete disability and students living in rented rooms. If the people of these targeted groups face problems in getting gas, they can contact the toll-free number 1660-5652001 of the District Administration Office.

As per the decision of Nepal Oil Corporation, the gas industrialists and sellers should keep a clear record of the quantity they have received and sold while selling and selling gas. The details have to be submitted to the District Administration Office on a daily basis. The administration has said that strict action will be taken if irregularities are found in the details.

The administration has urged the general public to contact the nearest vendors to buy gas, not to store more gas than required and increase the use of electric stoves to reduce the shortage of gas. The locals have also urged the people to report to the toll-free number or the police hotline number 100 if they have information that cooking gas is being sold secretly or illegally. The notice states that the cooperation of all sides is necessary to make the gas distribution system justified.
