Kathmandu. The weather is generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and partly cloudy in the rest of the areas.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, has said light rain and snowfall is taking place in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

According to the Division, the weather will be partly cloudy in the mountainous region of the country towards the afternoon. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the mountainous region. Light rain will occur in the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the western hilly region.

Similarly, tonight, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
