Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The Election Commission (EC) has distributed certificates to the lawmakers elected under the proportional representation (PR) system in the election to the House of Representatives.

The EC distributed certificates to 110 lawmakers under the proportional representation category amidst a programme on Thursday. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari and Election Commissioners Dr. Pramod Kumar Shrestha were present on the occasion. Januka Kumari Tuladhar and Sagun Shumsher Rana distributed the certificates to the winners.

In the House of Representatives elections held on March 4, six political parties had won seats under the proportional representation category. In the proportional representation category, Rastriya Swatantra Party won 57 seats, Nepali Congress 20, CPN-UML 16, Nepali Communist Party 9, Labour Culture Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party 4 seats each.
