Kathmandu. The Department of Immigration has urged the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to include foreign players in any games only after acquiring work consent and labour permit.
Issuing a press release today, the Department of Immigration urged the football clubs participating in the National Women’s and Men’s League Football Tournament not to include foreign players from different countries who have taken tourist visa.
A complaint has been received at the Department that the football clubs participating in the National Women’s and Men’s League Football Matches run by the ANFA have also included foreign players from different countries who have taken tourist visa. Therefore, if foreign players are required to be included in any sport, they are requested to participate only after obtaining work consent and labour permit as per the rules.
The Department said it has started monitoring the issue from today itself. “Immediate action will be taken if any foreign players are found participating in any game against the purpose of their visa,” the statement reads.
