Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal has become a member of the Global Forum for Information Exchange (OECD) for transparency and tax purposes. Nepal has become the 173rd member of the OECD.
The Ministry of Finance, Inland Revenue Department has informed about this. The department described the move as a historic achievement. The Department believes that this will further strengthen Nepal’s journey towards international tax support and strong fiscal governance.
With the membership of the Global Forum, Nepal will now collaborate directly with international bodies that implement global standards of information sharing.
