Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is influence of westerly low pressure system and local wind in the country at present.

The weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Sudurpaschim provinces, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi and Bagmati Province while it will be mainly fair in the rest of the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, it will be cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at many places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places of the western region. Heavy rain or snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be cloudy throughout the country tonight. Moderate rain with thunder, lightning and hail is likely to occur at many places of the Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces and at some places of the rest of the provinces.

The Division has urged the locals, farmers involved in agriculture, those travelling in these areas and those involved in the operation of vehicles to carry out their regular activities with caution.
