Butwal-Narayangadh road section obstructed since Friday remains obstructed

Nawalparasi. The Narayangadh-Butwal road section, which has been obstructed since Friday, has not come into operation.

Vehicular movement along the East-West Highway has been affected due to slippery and muddy road section at Binayi Triveni rural municipality-2 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

Superintendent of Police (SP) Yubaraj Khadka of District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) said vehicular movement has been affected due to the continuous flow of mud and mud on the road despite the halt of winter rains. Passengers and drivers have been stranded on the road due to the obstruction of the road for the past three days. Long-route passenger and cargo vehicles have been delayed in reaching their destinations as the long route passenger and cargo vehicles have been stuck on the road. According to the Narayangadh-Butwal Road Project, the problem of road obstruction even in normal rainy season is recurring due to the ongoing road expansion work along the Daunne section. According to the project, efforts are being made to repair and improve the obstructed road.

Meanwhile, the Narayanghat-Butwal Road Project Office has banned the operation of heavy goods vehicles from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am every day until March 22. Small and emergency vehicles have also been affected at present.
