Kathmandu. Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has organized Global Money Week 2026 for a week. The bank is organizing the event from March 2 to March 2.

On this occasion, the bank organized financial literacy rallies and awareness programs through its branches and regional offices across the country by identifying various target groups that have remained out of financial access.

As a part of the weeklong campaign, the bank has conducted financial literacy programs at its branches in Hetauda, Itahari, Bhairahawa, Bijaypur, Pokhara, Birgunj, Dhangadhi, Suryapura, Dadeldhura, Lahan, Bichbazaar, Mangalsen, Chipledhunga, among others.

More than a thousand people are participating in the program organized with the slogan “Smart Money Talks” and the programs are related to savings, credit, investment, clean notes, e-financial services, remittance, grievance redressal, financial service providers, stock market, risk management, insurance, financial frauds and financial discipline. The bank has also participated in the morning rally with financial literacy organized by various institutions including Nepal Rastra Bank.

On the occasion of Global Money Week 2026, the Bank has also distributed educational materials to the students of Yuddha Sanskrit Secondary School, Nepalgunj, Banke.

In addition, the bank has also posted various awareness posts and disseminated video materials through its official social media channels. The bank believes that this work will help raise awareness about the importance of financial education among ÷adolescents and youth÷adolescents.

The bank has been providing quality financial services at the doorstep of people of Nepal for the last 31 years and has 103 branches and more than 850,000 customers throughout the country.
