Brick factories affected by unseasonal rain

Mahottari Brick factories in Mahottari have suffered a loss of more than Rs 60 million due to unseasonal rains.

According to Sanjaya Chaudhary, president of Brick Entrepreneurs Association, Mahottari, three dozen brick factories in the district have been completely damaged due to unseasonal rain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.TAG_OPEN_div_22

He said that all the brick factories in the district were drying bricks at a cost of Rs 15 to 20÷22 lakh.TAG_OPEN_div_20

Hari Narayan Yadav, proprietor of New Baba Brick Industry at Aurahi Municipality-2, complained that the bricks were melted due to the sudden rain.TAG_OPEN_div_18

Ram TAG_OPEN_div_16 Babu Chaudhary, proprietor of New Mithila Brick Industry in Aurahi-7, said that the brick industry operators have washed away all their hard work and investment in the brick industry.

Three dozen brick factories in the district have suffered a minimum of TAG_OPEN_div_14 Rs 800,000 to a maximum of Rs 22 lakh due to unseasonal rainfall.
