Kathmandu. Economist Keshav Prasad Acharya passes away

Former Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Acharya passed away today. Acharya was taken to Annapurna Neuro Hospital for treatment after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

He died while undergoing treatment at the hospital today, according to the family source.

The 72-year-old has also been working at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a senior economic advisor to the Ministry of Finance.

According to Acharya’s family sources, his daughter is out of the country and the last rites will be performed after her daughter returns to Nepal on Tuesday.
