‘Jau Hai Pokhara’ campaign kicks off to attract domestic tourists in Pokhara

. Pokhara—The ‘Jau Hai Pokhara’ programme has been launched with the main objective of promoting domestic tourism.

The event is organized by Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) Pokhara in coordination and collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province Office.TAG_OPEN_div_30

The campaign, which has been running for the past 22 years, will be organized in Birgunj, Hetauda, Biratnagar, Ilam among other cities, according to Association President Laxman Subedi.TAG_OPEN_div_28

A 19-member team comprising tourism entrepreneurs, hoteliers and media persons active in Pokhara will participate in the campaign.TAG_OPEN_div_26

He informed that various attractive packages of domestic tourism will also be made public during the visit.TAG_OPEN_div_24 “The objective of our program is to invite the local people of eastern Nepal to attend the 21st edition of the Fewa New Year Festival that is organized by the NRNA on the occasion of every Nepali New Year,” he said. The festival will be held from April 14 to April 14 at the lakeside area on the banks of Fewa Lake. According to the association, around TAG_OPEN_div_16 15,000 people have been directly employed due to the hotels operating in Pokhara.
