Kathmandu. Non-life insurance companies have done business worth more than Rs 3 billion till mid-March of the current fiscal year. Insurance companies have collected more than Rs 170 million in insurance premiums in the first eight months of the current fiscal year.
According to the data made public by the Nepal Insurance Authority, Shikhar Insurance Company is the highest earner company in the first 8 months of the current fiscal year. During the period, the company earned Rs 4.38 billion in insurance premiums.
Similarly, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance has collected Rs 3.36 billion in insurance premiums and Himalayan Everest Insurance Rs 3.20 billion.
Similarly, Siddhartha Premier Insurance has collected Rs 2.79 billion in insurance premiums, followed by IGI Prudential Insurance Rs 2.68 billion and NLG Insurance Rs 2.53 billion.
Neco Insurance has collected Rs 2.39 billion from the current fiscal year. Similarly, United Ajod earned Rs 1.96 billion in insurance premiums while The Oriental earned Rs 1.94 billion.
Similarly, Sanima GIC has collected Rs 1.1 billion in insurance premiums, Nepal Insurance Rs 1.49 billion, Prabhu Insurance Rs 1.4 billion, Rastriya Insurance Rs 1.06 billion and National Insurance Rs 1.6 billion.
