Kathmandu. On Tuesday, the third trading day of the week, the stock market rose by double digits. On Tuesday, the stock market hit its highest level in eight months. On Tuesday, the NEPSE index increased by 23.83 points to close at 2,960.40 points. Earlier, the stock market had reached 2954 points on July 30.
Today, however, the amount of shares traded has decreased. The stock market was traded at Rs 14.83 billion on Monday from Rs 15.78 billion on Monday.
Among the group indices of the group listed in the share market, the indices of commercial banks, development banks, finance, hydropower, investment, production and processing, mutual funds and trade groups remained positive. However, the indices of hotel and tourism, life insurance, microfinance, non-life insurance and others decreased.
The shareholders of Salpa Development Bank, Reliance Spinning Mills and Solu Hydropower earned the most in the period. The biggest losers were the shareholders of First Microfinance, Manakamana Engineering Hydropower and Mero Microfinance.
