Kathmandu. The Gauri Bahadur Karki-led commission formed by the government to investigate the Genji movement has suggested reducing the number of ministries in the federal and provincial governments by half.

The report submitted by the Commission to the government has suggested reducing the number of ministries in the federal government to 10-12. Likewise, the committee has also suggested the government to implement the report of the Public Expenditure Review Commission of 2075 BS.

The report has suggested the establishment of 5 ministries in the province. The report has suggested making the province smart in terms of policy making, working as a bridge with the federal and local levels rather than the executive role and developing it in a way that the province level project management should be done.
