Ex-Home Minister arrested from Lekhak residence

Kathmandu. Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has been arrested.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, he has been arrested.

He is being brought to Kathmandu Police Range.

Police had arrested the writer from his residence in Katunje, Bhaktapur some time ago.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held immediately after the formation of the new government has decided to implement the report prepared by the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led probe commission.

The commission has recommended three to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000 to Rs 100,000 to the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and IGP Chandra Kuber Khapung. The commission had recommended the enforcement of Sections 181 and 182 of the Civil Code, 2074. According to the suggestion, these people will come under the purview of action.
