Myagdi. Malika rural municipality-7 has been developed as a ‘yoga meditation centre’.
People have started coming to ‘meditate’ for stress management after the physical infrastructure was built in Prabhuchela, which is located in a peaceful and secluded environment away from the settlement. Prabhuchela Dhuri Dhyanasharam Committee Chairman Tika Bahadur Jugjali (Naveen) said that the Prabhuchela has been developed as a meditation site which is considered useful for stress management, mental and physical health.
“Prabhuchela, which was enlightened by the sages through penance in ancient times, has been developed as a suitable destination for those who meditate for stress management, away from the hectic lifestyle of modern society,” he said. ”
The committee organized a yoga camp on food, monastery and thought at Prabhuchela on Sunday. A total of 50 yoga practitioners from Myagdi and Parbat participated in the three-day camp where Ayurveda practitioner Dr BP Timilsina gave a talk on yoga, meditation and stress management.
Yoga practitioner Sandip Khatri shared his experience that meditation in a peaceful and secluded environment gives him a sense of euphoria. The conservation and infrastructure was constructed after the study of four years ago that the sages had attained enlightenment by meditating on the Prabhuchela axis in ancient times. The infrastructure has been constructed with the investment of more than one crore from the Gandaki State government and the community for the establishment of the Community Meditation Centre.
It has been easier for ascetics, devotees and tourists to take shelter during night, snow, rain and scorching sun. Situated at the head of Bim village and at the foot of the Malika axis, sages used to come from different parts of Nepal and India. Kapilananda Swami, the successor of Swargadwari Mahaprabhu, meditated here from 1970 to 1975.
The ruins of the hut, the place of meditation and the havan kund built by Kapilananda Swami during his penance are still there. It is an added specialty to observe the Dhaulagiri and Gurja mountain ranges from Prabhuchela Dhuri. Situated at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level, the Prabhuchela Dhuri reaches the distance in two hours from Beem and 30 minutes by vehicle.
