Kathmandu. The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show-cause order to the government to furnish reasons behind the arrest of former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
A single bench of Justice Meghraj Pokharel issued the order today.
On Sunday, Oli’s wife Radhika Shakya filed a habeas corpus petition at the Supreme Court, claiming that her husband has been kept illegal.
Police arrested Oli from his private residence in Gundu of Bhaktapur on Saturday morning.
