PM Shah concerned about development of Far-West region, urges to take note of problems at secretariat

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Balendra Shah held a meeting with lawmakers of Sudurpaschim Province on the issues related to the development and construction of the area.

He held a discussion on development works in the far-western state in Singha Durbar today and promised to take initiatives to resolve the problem, according to Doti lawmaker Bharat Khadka.

“The Prime Minister discussed the status of development with the province-level lawmakers,” Khadka said after the meeting. He said that they had discussed the development plans of the province and district with the Prime Minister.

“I drew the attention of the PM towards the construction and up-gradation of roads including Seti Hydropower Project, Kailali-Dipayal road and Seti Highway, upgradation of irrigation, education, health sector and expansion of air service,” Khadka said.

He said that the Prime Minister said that efforts would be made to address the issues presented by the lawmakers. He also urged the Prime Minister to take note of the problems in the Secretariat.

On Monday, Prime Minister Shah held discussions with lawmakers of different political parties representing Koshi and Karnali provinces in the parliament.
