Kathmandu. Police have arrested seven middlemen from the Transport Management Office at Sano Stairang of Metropolitan City-15. A police team mobilized from the Police Circle, Swayambhu arrested them on the charge of obstructing public service delivery with the pretext of renewing the vehicle registration book of the service seekers from the office.
The arrestees have been identified as Bal Bahadur Sunar, 36, of Rautahat, Bigyan Rai, 39, of Ramechhap, Sanjaya Rajwah, 31, and Bimal Tamang, 36, of Kathmandu, Ramesh Karki, 35, of Ramechhap, Kalpana Lamsal, 36, of Dhading and Uddhav Khanal, 39, of Nuwakot.
Police have confiscated Rs 122,000 in cash and 53 billbooks from them.
