Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya, President of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), has been re-appointed as the board director of the United Federation of Travel Agents Association (AFTA).

The annual general meeting (AGM) of NATTA was chaired by Sunil Kumar R, Chairman of NATTA. Nepal is participating in the event where eminent tourism personalities from around the world are participating.

The other members of the board are Chetin Gurchun (Turkey), Duminda Kurubitachchi (Sri Lanka), Yosef Fatall (Jarayal) and Marigel Manotok (Philippines).

Founded in 1966, Afta is the umbrella organization of travel agencies around the world. More than a hundred travel companies from around the world are associated with this organization. Headquartered in Mona, Italy, Afta has been raising aviation issues around the world as a major agenda.
