. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice-President Dol Prasad Aryal has filed his candidacy for the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives. He filed his candidacy at 11:00 am today at the Federal Parliament Secretariat at Singha Darba.

Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) President and lawmaker Rabi Lamichhane proposed Aryal’s candidacy while lawmakers Swarnim Wagle, Sobita Gautam and Sunil Lamsal seconded it.

The last date for filing of candidacy for the post of Speaker is from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Kathghar-1. General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Padma Prasad Pandey, said that the candidacy registered within the deadline would be made public at 2.30 pm today.

The House of Representatives meeting scheduled for 11:00 am on Sunday is likely to present the motion on ‘Elect the Speaker’ for a decision.
