Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President DP Aryal has been elected the Speaker of the House of Representatives unopposed. Senior-most member of the House of Representatives, Arjun Narsingh KC, announced that Aryal has been elected to the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The candidates for the post of Speaker were scheduled to be nominated last Friday. Only Aryal filed his candidacy on Friday. The meeting held today had fixed the date for the election of the Speaker. Accordingly, Aryal has been elected unopposed to the post of Speaker.
