Kathmandu. At present, there is influence of westerly low pressure system and local winds in Nepal. The weather is generally cloudy throughout the country at present. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division has said light rain and snowfall are taking place in one or two places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region and partly cloudy in the rest of the country towards the afternoon. Likewise, moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of the country÷÷ and light rain and snowfall at some places of the Tarai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim province and at one or two ÷places of the Tarai region. Thunderstorm is likely to occur at some places in the Tarai region of Madhes, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous region of the country tonight. There will be partly cloudy in the hilly region and mainly fair in the Tarai region. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Bagmati provinces, and at one or two ÷places of the hilly region of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is the possibility of gusty winds at some places of the Tarai region of Madhes and Koshi provinces.
