Chitwan. The 10th International Expo is set to kick off on April 10. The expo is being organized by the Chitwan Industry Association and will continue till December 29.
The association informed about the exhibition by organizing a press conference. Association President Madan Ghimire said the expo would help promote export by replacing import.
The exhibition will showcase the machines and technologies useful for manufacturing and service industries. The exhibition will showcase handicraft, garments, construction materials, plastic, printing, packaging, agriculture, energy, among other products.
The expo will have stalls from all seven provinces. He informed that there will be stalls of technology and machinery of National Innovation Centre and industries associated with the ‘Make in Nepal’ campaign. More than 25,000 industrialists and entrepreneurs are expected to participate in the expo. He said that the goods produced in Nepal have been transported to countries like India, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka and it would also help in the marketing of goods.
Discussions will be held on Nepal’s current industrial status and future destinations to create an environment for access to national and international markets. On the occasion, it was informed that the exhibition would be helpful in motivating the youths towards entrepreneurship, increasing employment and making maximum utilization of local resources for the advancement of domestic industries and building a prosperous nation.
