Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has urged all employers to ensure minimum wages and social security to workers.
Issuing a press release on Sunday, the Ministry said that the Ministry has received complaints regarding minimum wages and other incentives being provided to health workers and nursing staff, teachers and employees of private and institutional schools.
Stating that serious attention of the Ministry has been drawn towards this, it has urged all employers to fully implement the rights of workers as per the prevailing laws.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has made it mandatory to provide basic wages, sick leave, gratuity, provident fund, insurance and other facilities to the employees employed as per the Labour Act-2074 BS.
The Ministry has also warned of action as per the law if those found deprived of basic wages and other facilities would be taken as per the law.
