Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Kiran Pandit has been sworn in as the new Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) today. Governor Prof. Dr. He administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bishwanath Poudel. He also took office today.

Pandit was appointed as the deputy governor as per the decision of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) on April 8, 2002. On the occasion, Governor Poudel congratulated Deputy Governor Pandit and wished him a successful term. Deputy Governor Pandit joined the bank as an assistant director on January 15, 2006. He was promoted to the post of deputy director in 2068 BS, director in 2074 BS and executive director on February 1, 2081.

During his tenure as Executive Director, he also served as the Spokesperson of the Bank along with the Payment Systems Department and Foreign Exchange Management Department.
