Kathmandu. Indrive, the global mobility and delivery platform, today announced fuel support worth Rs 22 lakhs to support its driver partners as they cope with the impact of rising fuel prices and price rise in Nepal. Through this initiative, the company aims to reduce the financial pressure of drivers and help them stabilize their income.
With the expansion of ride-hailing services in Nepal, it has become a significant source of employment for thousands of drivers. At the same time, passengers have also been enjoying easy and economical transportation services. However, the continuous increase in fuel prices in recent years has increased the operating costs of drivers, which has a direct impact on their daily earnings. On the other hand, it is becoming increasingly challenging to balance the market at a time when passengers are also sensitive to fare hikes.
To address this dual challenge, Indrive strives to strike a balance between driver sustainability and passenger affordability. The company also supports initiatives to address structural issues in the transport sector, taking serious concerns and complaints from the driver community.

Considering the rising operating costs, Indrive has announced to launch a fuel assistance program worth Rs. 2.2 million effective from April 15, 2026. The programme is expected to help ease the financial burden of drivers affected by the increase in fuel prices.
The initiative aims to alleviate the pressure on drivers’ earnings and help in continuity of the service without putting additional financial burden on passengers. This reaffirms Indrive’s commitment towards strengthening driver sustainability and providing affordable transportation through market-friendly and practical solutions.

In addition to the Fuel Support initiative, Indrive has been implementing various measures to increase driver earnings and strengthen operational flexibility. The major initiatives are as follows:
A lower service charge is applied to some of the selected rides.
Performance-based incentives and rewards to increase active participation on the platform, and various campaigns and incentive programs to increase the earning potential of drivers.
Worldwide, Indrive maintains one of the lowest charge structures in the ride-hailing industry, reflecting its “Driver First” approach.
In addition, the peer-to-peer model of InDrive allows passengers and drivers to decide fares directly. This helps in determining fair fares taking into account real-time market conditions and operating expenses.
