Head. An arrest warrant has been issued against Mayor of Siraha Municipality Dr Nabin Kumar Yadav.

An arrest warrant has been issued against him in connection with the assault on an office assistant of the municipality.

Mayor Yadav has been accused of abusing and beating Ram Sharan Yadav, 50, with kicks and punches while he was attending his attendance at 9:00 am on Monday. He sustained injuries on various parts of his body and fractured bones.

He is currently undergoing treatment in Biratnagar, according to the family source. District Administration Office, Siraha, has issued an arrest warrant against Yadav on the charge of misbehaving with him, shared Chief of District Police Office, Basudev Pathak.

Police have launched a search for Yadav after the arrest warrant was issued. However, another accused in the case, Rohit Mestar, has been arrested.
